Golden State Warriors v Memphis Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors (57-24) look to close out their regular season strong, and will travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies (32-49) on Wednesday night.

Memphis Grizzlies

A disappointing season for the Grizzlies will be capped off on Wednesday. Memphis has remained among the bottom feeders in the Western Conference this season, and will be looking to rebuild when the offseason arrives. For now, the Grizzlies will have to make due with what they have at their disposal, which is not much. One player who will be included in the Grizzlies future plans will be Bruno Caboclo. The young forward has played well at times this season, and is showing that he has the ability to be a consistent scoring threat in the NBA. Caboclo was brought up from the Grizzlies G-League supplemental team, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Here, he was able to average 16.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in 23 G-League games. At 23 years of age, the small forward is not done developing yet. Look for Caboclo to have a monster game against the backup Warriors squad in the final regular season game this season.

The Grizzlies are far from in-form ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Warriors. Memphis has lost two games in a row, and has recorded a 3-7 record in their last 10 games. The Griz have been able to maintain a .500% record at home this season by going 20-20. In their last five games at home, Memphis has a record of 2-3, getting big wins over the Thunder and Rockets over the span.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors cap off another strong regular season on Wednesday night. The two-time reigning champs have secured the number one seed in the Western Conference, and are the team to beat in the playoffs yet again. Wednesday’s lineup against the Grizzlies is expected to be a much different than what they would usually go with, as Steve Kerr is trying to rest some of his key players. Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson are all expected to sit out of the regular season finale in Memphis, leaving a combined 74 points per game on the bench. Big man DeMarcus Cousins and power forward will miss Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies as well, leaving an entire backup squad to handle business for the Warriors. Expect this to hurt the point production for Golden State, who are playing without 90% of their usual scoring tonight.

Golden State are rolling into the postseason in fine form. The Warriors have won six games in a row, and have a solid 8-2 record in their last 10. Steve Kerr and his squad are on the road on Wednesday with a chance to finish the season with the best away record in the NBA. Golden State is 27-13 in 40 games on the road, and have a record of 4-1 in their last five away games.

Golden State Warriors Expected Starting Lineup
Quinn Cook, Jacob Evans, Alfonzo McKinnie, Jonas Jerebko, Kevin Looney

The Money Line

Here are how the odds to win the match look from the bookies ahead of the game.

Golden State Warriors to win @ 1.50 (1/2) with William Hill.
Memphis Grizzlies to win @ 3.60 (13/5) with Betfair.

Odds taken at 07:00 GMT 10/04/2019

Our Verdict and Best Bets

The Warriors and Grizzlies close the season with an interesting matchup. Steve Kerr has made it clear that he does not expect to play many, if any of his impact players, sidelining a ton of firepower for the Warriors. Bettors should take note, as Memphis will want to finish their season strong at home. Memphis will want to close out their rough regular season with a big win over the Warriors. With the moneyline at (+180) for a Memphis win, bettors will want to take action on this profitable opportunity. We’re taking Memphis to win this one at home as the Warriors will be looking ahead to the postseason.
