Blackjack

When you think of casinos, the first game that probably comes to mind is blackjack. While most online casinos put their slots front and centre, fans of blackjack will still be able to find loads of opportunities to indulge in a few hands though, plus they will also find loads of new and exciting variations of the game to play. So, if you’re a blackjack fan, online casinos will most definitely provide you with loads of fun and excitement!

Thanks to the ability of online casinos to feature loads of different games, online blackjack has progressed past being a simple game with a solid set of rules. Now, online casinos offer variations of the game you could never imagine, most of which lead you to completely re-evaluate the way in which you play the game. So, if you’re a blackjack fan, why not try all of the different variations, and see if you think your favourite game has managed to get even better?

How is Online Blackjack Played?

If you’ve played blackjack before, you’ll find that the rules are exactly the same online when playing the standard version. This means that you’ll have to get your hand as close to 21 as possible (without going over), before then seeing if the dealer gets closer than you. You can bet anything from micro amounts through to huge bets, with the risk – and reward – increasing as your bet amount goes up.

Generally, you will play on your own, meaning that the speed of the hands is only dictated by how fast you play. There are some online blackjack games with a more social aspect to them though, which will appeal to many players. It should also be mentioned that those with no experience of playing blackjack are usually allowed to play for free before risking their money, so they can understand the rules and develop some basic tactics.

How Much Can Be Won?

This depends on where you are playing, but generally the most you can win on a hand of blackjack is 1.5x your bet, plus your stake, which is achieved when hitting blackjack. Most wins will see you paid your bet size when winning though, plus your stake. So, for example, someone betting £10 and hitting blackjack would get a grand total of £25 in winnings, while someone winning with a hand other than blackjack would be paid £20.

Over the long term, the amount you can win really depends on the amount of time you are able to put into playing. Luck also plays a role, however the best blackjack players have the skill needed to limit how much luck actually comes into the equation.
