After a dramatic Round of 16, the Champions League Quarter-final qualifiers are set. With the draw set for Friday, we look ahead at the remaining eight teams and their odds to win it all.
Manchester City – 5/2 – To Win Champions League
Manchester City looked and played like the team to beat in this tournament in their Round of 16 tie against Schalke 04. City made easy work of the German side, winning 10-2 on aggregate. Manchester City will be focusing heavily in the Champions League going forward, as City has never won the Champions League before.
Barcelona – 3/1 – To Win Champions League
Messi and Barca are back in the Quarter-finals again. Messi has led his Catalonian club in the tournament, scoring eight goals in six matches played. Barca handled Lyon in the Round of 16, winning the tie 5-1 on aggregate.
Juventus – 4/1 – To Win Champions League
Juventus brought in Ronaldo to put them over the top in the Champions League, and so far, that plan is working. Ronaldo put on an absolutely legendary performance, scoring a hat-trick in the second leg of the tie, turning around a 0-2 first leg deficit against Atletico Madrid. Behind Ronaldo, Juve knock out Atleti by an aggregate score of 3-2, and will be filled with confidence going forward.
Liverpool – 5/1 – To Win Champions League
The Reds were impressive in a difficult Round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich. After a scoreless draw at home, Liverpool went to Munich, beating the Germans at their place by a score of 3-1. Sadio Mane continued his high flying season, netting a brace in the must-win match.
Manchester United 9/1 – To Win Champions League
After their dramatic comeback over PSG, United have new life in the Champions League. Ole Gunnar Solskjær has the Red Devils playing high quality football since taking over, and will have the chance to nab himself and the club a trohpy if they can continue their thrilling run in this tournament.
Tottenham 14/1 – To Win Champions League
Despite their dip in form in the league, Tottenham performed well over their two legs against Dortmund, beating the German side by an aggregate score of 4-0. Manager Mauricio Pochettino will ride his attacking line of Heung Min Son, Harry Kane, and Christian Eriksen for as long as he can.
Ajax 22/1 – To Win Champions League
The surprises of the tournament so far, dutch side Ajax find themselves in the Quarter-finals after beating Real Madrid in dramatic fashion. Ajax entered the second leg trailing 2-1 after their home leg, but was able to turn it all around at the Bernabeu, beating Madrid 4-1, winning the tie by an aggregate score of 5-3.
