Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey looks to be heading to Juventus by the end of the January transfer window with reports emerging that a medical has been scheduled with the Italian giants for Sunday 13th January. This means that a deal could be done as early as this week.
The 28 year old Welshman has been a constant play maker for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, although does not look set to feature in Unai Emery’s plan.
Primarily Ramsey holds a box-to-box midfielder position, although is very capable of playing on both wings.
Ramsey joined Arsenal back in 2008 for a reported £5million deal from Cardiff City. He’s since gone on to make 252 appearances for Arsenal scoring 38 goals.
Speaking to the media today as reported on by Sky Sports, Unai Emery on Ramsey said:
“Every day he’s here with us, he’s working very well.
“In the last match I was very happy with him. I asked in the last match at Blackpool if he is OK to help us play and he said, ‘Yeah, coach, I want to play’ and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us.
“After, his future belongs to him, his family and agent.
“I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday.”
The new Arsenal manager clearly has a lot of respect for the player and was full of praise in the interview with the media.
